Every student starts with a diagnostic, because guessing wastes your money. I find out what you actually know, where you’re stuck, and why. Then we work from there at your pace, with progress you and your parents can measure lesson to lesson.

Small Group Sessions

From $60 per hour for the group  ·  split between students
Two to four students at a similar level, working through problems together online. The pressure drops, questions come easier, and hearing how someone else thinks through a problem is often what finally makes it click.

Best for: friends or classmates covering the same material who want one-on-one quality at a lower cost per student.

Grades follow habits. I coach the things nobody teaches in class: how to organize your work, how to focus, how to read a test and budget your time, and how to stop saying “I’m just bad at math.”

Best for: capable students whose marks don’t reflect what they actually know.

Why Students Progress Here

A session here is a back-and-forth, not a lecture. The student is talking, working through problems out loud, and getting asked why — not sitting quietly filling in a page while someone watches the clock.

That is the part that does the work. When a student has to explain their thinking, I can see exactly where it breaks and fix it in the moment, instead of finding it on a test two weeks later.

It also keeps them in it. An hour goes quickly when you are actually doing something, and a student who enjoys the session is far more likely to go back to the work on their own.

How much does tutoring cost?

One-on-one sessions are $50 per hour, online. Small group sessions start at $60 per hour for the whole group, split between two to four students, so the cost per student is lower.

What grades and subjects do you cover?

Grades 1 to 12, plus university students and adult learners, in math, English, writing, science and geography — as well as SSAT, ISEE and entrance exam preparation.

Are sessions online or in person?

Every session runs online, so there is no commute for anyone. You get a lesson link by email after booking.

What happens in the first session?

It starts with a diagnostic. I find out what the student actually knows, where they are stuck and why, rather than guessing — then we work from there at their pace.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Most families start with a free 30-minute call, so there is no cost to finding out whether this is a fit.

Will I always get the same tutor?

Yes. One tutor, start to finish — nobody is passed between a rotating roster of people.
